Before reading this book I wouldn't have said I read dystopian fiction. Now if I can find more books as good as this one I would read dystopian fiction for sure! I loved the character builds of this book. I felt like I knew Amelia and I cringed when things didnt go the way I wanted for her. I rooted for her. I am hooked on this series and so glad the second book will be out soon. I followed the author on fb and love the fact that it seems the books will not have a huge lag time....I detest having to wait a year or more for the second book. So yeah for the Wards writing speedy and WONDERFUL books. Absolutely loved it and can't wait for more!Product details

Secrets Above Secrets Series Book 1 eBook Amy Ward Olivia Cayenne Reviews
This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. If you enjoy visions of a dystopian future such as Ira Levin’s This Perfect Day or the British sci-fi television programme Blake’s 7, you will love Secrets Above.
It is the story of Amelia – Lia to her friends, although it is illegal to call any citizen of Terra Convex by anything other than their legal name. She lives in an underground society, the last of the human race, the survivors of a deadly man-made virus which began killing every living organism above ground.
I’d go on, but if you are reading my synopsis, you really need to stop and read the book. There are only a few things I should warn you about
1. There is some disturbing violence in the book. Most of it happens “offstage,” but we are forced to deal with its consequences much as Lia is. While reading two chapters (thankfully not back-to-back), I had to pause after each paragraph and do something else, just so I wouldn’t gag. I don’t normally like these kinds of books, but it was (mostly) necessary to tell the story.
2. There is one kissing scene that got a bit racy. Honestly, I thought for a moment it was going to become erotic fiction at that point, but it didn’t.
3. Both of the above are more disturbing (at least to me) because the book was written by a mother/daughter team. I would have difficulty being this graphic either with one of my parents or my child. Kudos to Ward and Cayenne for being able to pull it off.
4. This is the first book in a series, and I can hardly wait to read the second!
Secrets Above is an important book for our times. Read it!

I love this book. The authors did an amazing job of writing the characters,setting, and society in a way that makes you feel like you're in the story. I love it when a book pulls me in and takes me on the adventure. This book delivered. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
I couldn't put this book down! I read it soon after it was released but forgot to write a review. So sorry, Amy and Olivia! You guys did such a great job at painting a picture of the underground world I could see it in my head. The characters came to life and I found it easy to put myself in the story with them.
This series is at the top of my list of books I want in my personal library. In fact, I think I'll go back and read it again to refresh my mind on all the characters so that I'm ready for the next book, Secrets Below.

Fabulous world building with characters that jump right off the page and into your head! A really great start to what is sure to be an awesome series. I'm excited to see what's in store for Amelia as her story unfolds. Definitely worth picking up!
This is a very interesting, well written, exciting, hold on to the edge of your seat book. Amelia is the girl that all kids fear and envy, wishing for her courage and yet terrified you may be called upon to use it. I loved this book and cannot wait to start book-2. Great authors!
