Brandon Gilbert has spent years in hiding, but he’s finally accomplished his dream of working as a public school teacher. When offered the chance to help bullied children, there was no way he could say no. Not to mention that meeting Dr. Tash Weber, the psychiatrist who helps them, a sad yet sexy older man, ignited a spark inside Brandon he’d never had before. Though five years have passed since the death of his lover, Dr. Sebastian "Tash" Weber has no interest in relationships or love. But young, enigmatic Brandon awakens his heart and his desire. Despite Tash’s best efforts to push him away, Brandon unlocks the passion for life Tash thought he’d lost forever. Falling in love wasn’t part of the plan for either Brandon or Tash, but neither family disapproval nor self-doubts can stop them from embracing the fire that burns between them. And when Brandon returns home to fight for a future he never imagined possible, he and Tash discover that the one thing worth fighting for has been with them all along.

I've waited till the whole series was out to read straight away after each other. Unfortunately this book so didn't rate up there as well as the first 2 in the series. For some reason I felt no connection between Tash and Brandon at all! And their story felt rushed to me. The whole story fell flat. I enjoyed the novella bit at the end as it's gave a nice finish to all their stories but sadly this one didn't feel like it was the same standard of writing from the same author.Product details

Embrace the Fire Through Hell and Back Volume 3 Felice Stevens Books Reviews
Not having read the previous books in the Through Hell and Back series I wasn't prepared for the emotional impact this book started off with. But boy, what a heartbreaking start to a story that's ultimately satisfying and immensely happy. The journey to get to that HEA though was a tough one through these three books but definitely worthwhile.
Brandon and his two foster brothers have been put through the emotional wringer, lost without one another, after circumstances cruelly tore them apart. With a past that's kept him in hiding it's now time to come into the light as the brothers are finally reunited. Brandon's also reunited with the doctor who treated him through his darkest period and their connection is instantaneous. Neither a 12-year age difference nor the emotional wall Tash has built after losing his lover will keep Brandon from claiming him. The wall Tash has built is indeed heavy as he doesn't want to open his heart to pain again and has convinced himself that he doesn't need anyone. It sounds predictable but in Ms. Stevens hands it all worked for me.
All this could've made for a perfect romance but we're more often told rather than shown their burgeoning relationship. Though their chemistry was electric we didn't get to experience that fully. Too often the emotional reunion between the brothers, and all the issues surrounding it, overshadowed the romance and put it on the back burner. There were so many twists, turns, and emotions to deal with that left little time for Brandon and Tash to shine. That's not to say that I was unhappy though as the brothers and their newly created families were a heartwarming sight. With this book all the storylines came full circle and were tied up with a big bow. The epilogue was pure perfection, leaving a smile on reader's faces, and is richly rewarding to those who've been with these brothers since book one.
3.5 STARS!
So, let me start with I have been waiting for this book FOREVER. I don't usually pay for ebooks that are over $3. I however 1 clicked this and it was so worth it.
Now as you know for 3 books we have been waiting for the brothers to meet each other. All 3 same room!! As the chapter began I thought to myself " This is it, silence to everyone and everything", It was when L saw B , that my best friend decided to talk. It was than I turned my head and in my nicest voice I told her to " Shut up, I have been waiting forever for this moment, and if you ruin it for me You will be on the next episode of Forensic Files".
It did not disappoint. The ending was perfect, nothing was left unanswered. I love these men, and am so very sad to leave them behind me. They will stick with me like real people, and I will wonder through time how they are doing .
Overall 4.5 Stars
Narrator 4.5 Stars
Story 4.5 Stars

Another great audiobook and Kale Williams is definitely one that I will not hesitate to listen to as a narrator. He does such a great job. I love the smoothness of his voice. He delivers the story with so much ease. He conveys the characters emotions and his voice is so seductive when it comes to the sexy times. ;)
My heart always feels so content after reading a book from this author. The journey she creates for her characters are always so heartwrenching and heartwarming. Brandon and Tash's journey is exactly that. Felice Stevens delivers such great story lines and amazing characters. I absolutely love this series and this story.
Brandon had me from the very beginning and I couldn't wait to see his HEA. His story is incredibly heartbreaking. The things he had to go through just tore me up inside. I love the chemistry between Brandon and Tash. Although Tash had his own issues and struggled to move forward from his loss, he was so sweet and caring. There were times yes, where I was rolling my eyes because of course men are stubborn, right? But, I was still so captivated by these men.
I love the whole family dynamic and the emotional reunions in this story. The ending was a delightful treat getting glimpses of each individual couple and it definitely gave me all the warm and fuzzy feels. Felice Stevens wraps up this series with a great bow full of love and happiness.
A lovely conclusion to a wonderful series! Brandon is the youngest of the foster brothers, and he has spent years in hiding believing he had committed a heinous act. His desire to help others, however, has drawn him into the teaching world, a place he feels he can truly contribute. It is in that capacity that he is drawn to help another teacher working in an outreach center, and his world goes topsy-turvy from that point.
Tash is a psychiatrist who, while successfully running a practice, secretly believes himself responsible for the death by drugs of his former lover, and is unwilling to open himself up to another potential heartbreak. His sister works for Luke, whom we met in book two, After the Fire, and Tash is drawn to help at the outreach center, as well. When these two men meet, the attraction is instant and palpable!
This is a wonderfully written tale, full of laughter and heartbreak, caring and anger. The plot is fairly predictable, but the characters are such a delight that you won’t mind it at all. I found myself rooting for the successes of these two men individually as well as paired, and in the end, I closed the book with a feeling of happiness that pervaded me for the rest of the day. 4.5 stars of good reading is had between the covers of this book!
